at the beginning

let me do a brief introduction of myself first.

Hi, I am Kimberly-Jeon Goh, 吴智恩.

Must be wondering why my name is so so so unique?

Well, my dad likes the name Kim, and my ingenious mum came up with the name Kimberly.

And my dad likes the chinese character 恩, so my mum said 智恩!

They are rather funny folks who love to poke fun at each other, sometimes to the extent of hurling insults too. But I know they love each other alot, real muchie.

I was actually supposed to "come out" to this world only on 12 October 2006. However, my best fren, I call her Ummie, got tangled around my neck as we were playing. So mummie's gynae said to seduce (induce) me out on 26 September 2006.

I still remember my daddie was so happy when he heard that I would be "coming out" to meet him soon. Silly daddie.

My poor mummie was so worried and frighten...

Nevertheless, we met Uncle JJ who was stopping over in Singapore for a short while. He bought me some toys too! Yeah! But I could only see him from inside mummie, and he couldn't see me. Sorry Uncle JJ! Next Time Perhaps!

That weekened, mummie walked alot and ate alot. Real Muchie! Till I put on 200+ more grams. Haiyo, trying to bulk me up ah? I love the white pepper crabs from No Signboard though, yummylicious!

On the night that mummie's supposed to be admitted into TMC, she and daddie went to visit my gorgor, Noah. He's so good looking. hehe^^

My Berfoodae!

Mummie woke up at 5am with severe stomachache. After a failed attempt in the W.C., she 忍 till she 无法再忍, press the bell for nurse and woke daddie up. And she was wheeled to the delivery suite.

Where I was borned...

Mummie had her epidural injected quite early leh... she couldn't tahan anymore... all strapped up and listening to my heartbeat on the CTG machine...

Mummie's most painful moment was not when they inserted the epidural, but when they did this...

And so we waited loh. I continue to descend further down in mummie while she fell asleep. Must not have slept well the night before. But I was a good girl leh. Donno why. Daddie slept very well though. And he continued sleeping in the delivery suite, and watched HBO too.

at 10am, doc came in and said that mummie's only 2 cm dilated, it's gonna be a long long long delivery woh... so they poked and burst the waterbag. Aiyo! I could feel the water gushed past me leh, washed me down too... heehee mummie felt nothing

All those while, mummie told me not to be scared, and we prayed together to the Lord...

at 2+pm, doc came in again and VOILA! she said mummie's 8cm dilated le! ask her to get ready. Daddie's so nervous + excited. he immediately told my grandma who's already in the ward waiting... then he told my mummie not to start pushing till he came back from WC. AIYO, how can he ask mummie to wait leh? mummie in a lot of pain already...

While daddie's in the toilet, the nurse came in and ask mummie to try pushing. So when daddie came back, he got a shock! Almost missed the "every moment" neh

3+pm, gynae came in and we all started the battle!

PUSH + PUSH + PUSH + PUSH + PUSH for mummie

5 times woh, and I am out with a loud ROAR!!!

hehehe, finally out... daddie cut Ummie away from me orh. Gynae said that Ummie's too close to me, nearly killed me leh... wat a fren... Haiyo!

And there I was, a healthy baby borned on 26 September 2006, at near 4pm. 51 cm long with 34 cm head circumference, and a healthy weight of 3.175kg :)

had a pretty good rest last night. but gotta wake up every 3 hours for feeding eh

mummie was very nice to breastfeed me right from the start, every 3 hours, even throughout the night. during the night, every time i was wheeled in, daddie would be snoring away. he must be real tired...

early early morning, uncle edmund koh came to see me. he introduced himself as my PD eh. and he did some checks on me, flipping me here and there... aiyoyoyo!!!! but he's very gentle lah. haha

No Hanyu Pinyin orh. Daddie & mummie decided that the word Jeon will be equivalent to my chinese name le. :)

U know, daddie loves me real lot? He couldn't stop smiling at me and when he attended the pre-natal classes with mummie, he paid lots of attention. mummie always kanna scolding from him for not listening in class.

I have got really small feet hor...

compared to my daddies HK feet...

but i love him all the same....

YEAH!! We can go home!!!

Lost a bit of weight on the third day woh, cos my reserves used up le... was only 2.9+kg when I was discharged.

It's Children's Day!!!

My first Children's Day! Yippee Hooray!!!

Nainai came to visit me and mummie, brought some tonic soup for mummie too. Yummylicious!

guess what is inside the box? my blue Aprica stroller!! Daddie took leave to Q up at Robinsons during their sale woh. original price was $799 woh... but guess how much we got it for? $299!!!

and this! my 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle painstakingly pieced together by my daddie & mummie. they would always come home and do this after work... so lovey dovey... heehee

gonna hang it above my cot when we moved into our own home!

First time out of the house for both mummie and i after our discharge! And off we went to see Uncle Edmund at Tiong Bahru Plaza!

Hmmm.... doesn't seem good woh... he suspected my jaundice level went too high up... did a blood test and OUCH! He pricked my left heel... so painful that i let out a loud cry...

mummie so heart pain leh....

then we went to 太奶奶's place!

And see Gorgor Clarence, he's sooooooooo BIG! He's older than me by abt 6 months woh...

Auntie Adeline used to be the princess around here... Now I REIGN!!!

haiz... daddie got a call from Uncle Edmund's clinic saying to admit me immediately cos my jaundice level was indeed too high... and off they went, sending me there. mummie was so sad that she cried... daddie consoled her saying that it's normal... poor mummie.. i heart u mummie...

BUT LATER I FOUND OUT THAT THEY WENT TO WATCH A MOVIE WITHOUT ME!!!

Humph!

poor me... lying in the cold plastic box... with only my diapers on...

Finally discharged after a 2-nights stay in that cold cold plastic box...

but something made me very happy! Aunty Hellen, mummie's ex-boss sent me a prezzie from HK!
